Grasberg open pit gold mine or the Freeport mine located in Papua Irian Jaya from Indonesia country, which has an area of open pit mine approximately 4 km. The Grasberg mine is one of the gold mines and the world's largest copper.

Escondida mine, located in the region of Chile a constitute one of the largest open pit mine in the world, by having a length of about 3.9 km, the width of the open pit approximately 2.7 km and has a pit depth of about 646 m

Muruntau mine an open pit mine located in Uzbekistan and also one of the largest open pit mine in the world, by having a length of about 3.5 km and has a width of about 3 km and has a pit depth of 600 m
