Test Of Copper Ore With Sulfuric Acid ( H2SO4 ) Videos

Copper extraction techniques refers to the methods for obtaining copper from its ores. The method used to extract Copper Ore depends on the nature of the mineral ore. Sulphide ores such as chalcopyrite are converted to copper by a different method from silicate, carbonate or sulphate ores.

Copper can be extracted from non-sulfide ores by a different process . Reaction of the ore (over quite a long time and on a huge scale) with a dilute acid such as dilute sulfuric acid to produce a very dilute copper sulfate solution.

Concentration of the copper sulfate solution by solvent extraction. The very dilute solution is brought into contact with a relatively small amount of an organic solvent containing something which will bind with copper  ions so that they are removed from the dilute solution.

Process Copper sulfide from copper ore extraction with sulfuric acid ( H2SO4 ) an insoluble metal oxide is reacted with a dilute acid to form a soluble salt. Sulfuric acid react to produce copper sulfate, giving a characteristic green colour to the solution.

How can simple extraction of copper ore . A simple way of copper ore extraction for the analysis of the content of copper ores in the rocks can be done by using a solution of concentrated sulfuric acid. ( H2SO4 )

Stage simple how extraction of copper ore from the rock to be tested.

Several solutions were made by dissolving small of copper chrysocolla ore. Destroy the copper rock until smooth.

Then insert the sand from the copper ore into a glass pyrex, and add water until copper ore submerged.

Then add sulfuric acid ( H2SO4 ) with a ratio of approximately 1: 2 with water, 2% of water and sulfuric acid for approximately 1%

Wait for the extraction of copper ore dissolves ( Dilution could be about 1 or 2 hours, and longer also be better )

The results of the Process from copper ore extraction with sulfuric acid ( H2SO4 ) an insoluble metal oxide is reacted with a dilute acid to form a soluble salt. Sulfuric acid react to produce copper sulfate, giving a characteristic green colour which is a copper sulfate.

After dissolution is complete and the water looks clear greenish and bluish, then pour water from sulfide copper content into another place

To view the content of copper ore concentrate,  enter ferrous metals, zinc or aluminum to a solution of copper sulfide

Slowly - the land of copper concentrate will be attached to the iron rod. Leave for a few minutes, so that copper concentrate is thickened on an iron rod. Having seen thickened concentrate you can put the concentrate into another place

To make a metal, concentrates of copper ore can be directly smelted, The concentrate is dried and fed into a furnace for Copper Smelting Process
